February 2017 Special (Vientiane, Laos)

One easy way to apply for a Thai tourist visa, for now anyway, is at the Thai Consulate in Vientiane. And so it was that we ended up in Laos this month. I had been to Laos before in 2013, but that had been in the north near the Chinese border. This trip was to the capital, Vientiane. Laos is a land locked country. A strange elongated strip of land which has borders with Myanmar, China, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand.

We stayed there all morning making use of the fast wifi and the fan. Another hot day. I really couldn't be

Travel Blog: Week 31

Thailand and Laos Week 31: 10.06.2013 - 16.06.2013 Monday:- The late night meant a late morning. First things first. I wanted to pay the deposit for the room. It turned out that I would need to pay 8000 for the room and 5000 deposit, which I would get back less costs such as electricity. It's still a really good deal. A room for a month for around £180. I signed up. Now for breakfast which was a Louise combo special. Breakfast
