The last of Ubud! We discovered this building along one of the rice paddy routes. It's been left half finished and some young locals have made it home. No electrics or running water. Occasionally, with eyes cast down, we passed the inhabitants using the nearby stream to do do laundry, wash themselves and sometimes as a toilet! Our last dinner! Absolutely wonderful! The weirdest sign in the Chiang Mai arrivals lounge! Even the frogs are

Bali: Ubud - and back to Chiang Mai Week 47: 30.09.2013 - 06.10.2013 Monday:- I woke with very mixed feelings. Deciding to give up my round the world ticket had left me with a sense of relief but also some in trepidation - why? I've no idea as logically I knew I could always book a flight. I guess I was just out of my comfort zone. Gusti seemed happy to know I was staying - bless him, it meant the

My room was booked by someone else in a couple of days so I would have to move out anyway. Seemed an opportune

Now to find the gate for my next flight. Airport rules....... I just don't get them - isn't it an x-ray machine?? Why do you have to take a laptop out of your bag and out of its case. I do try to keep calm during the whole security journey but
