USA Week 7: 24.12.2012 - 30.12.2012 Monday:- Christmas Eve!! Today couldn't be more different to yesterday. It was beautiful - the sun was shining and it was warm in the sheltered areas. Today we wanted to explore the city and was to the Golden Gate Bridge. For those who don't know San Fran is hilly, but.......until you walk it for yourself I'm not sure you would realise just how up the ups are, and how down the downs. It was

USA Week 6: 17.12.2012 - 23.12.2012 Monday:- Prep day. Only a few days left in Virginia. Time to decide what to take with me for the rest of my travels and what to leave at Tammy's. Laundry and general readiness required. I cooked dinner, which I have to say was a rare event. Noodle soup with some of the fabulous steak left-overs. Not too shabby! TV and bed Tuesday:- Last full day in Virginia. Today was a trip into DC.

USA Week 5: 10.12.2012 - 16.12.2012 Monday:- Up not particularly early. Didn't need to leave for the airport until 11:30 - I think I can be ready by then! Brekkie, packing and then run. Packing was interesting. I was flying with Spirit Airlines - a bit like easy jet. The fares are low, low, low until you start adding extra luxuries like having a seat and baggage. I was travelling very light. It surprising how much room a pair of trainers

USA Week 3: 26.11.2012 - 02.12.2012 Monday:- Today was the day for repaying Tammy's generous hospitality - washing, a little ironing, pushing the mahusive vacuum cleaner around, and general cleaning. Job done - sorted! I also attempted to introduce Tammy to Toad-in-the-Hole. Finding only cornmeal I used that. Hmmmhhh not exactly a disaster but I will be cleaning the dish tomorrow once it's soaked overnight - nuff said. Tuesday:- And so it rained!!! So far the weather had been very kind

USA Week 2: 19.11.2012 - 25.11.2012 Monday:- A day home alone. Tammy got home early to take her car in for repairs. It had started to make a weird knocking sound on the way back from the hike on Saturday. To took a few hours before the garage decided to take the car in for further investigation - we were giving a courtesy car. We stopped by Tammy's gym on the way home. A mahusive place - I used one of

Travel Blog: Week 1

USA Week 1: 12.11.2012 - 18.11.2012 Monday So November 12th arrived. Dad took me to the airport early so we plenty of time for a great breakfast. Through to departures and onto the plane. All ran to time and I was soon in the air. Have to say Virgin were great. The flight was half empty (or if you're an optimist half full) so there was loads of space to stretch out and the food was pretty tasty too. Great selection
